Now, some views of my current task (adventure ???) :
The "thing"
arriving at home, between Father and Son
And the
same one, same people, seven years later...
But, step by step please.
This is a long story !
At this time, I can't truly evaluate
the mass of work I will provide !
A "serious" disassembly was
mandatory !
needed by the status of the
"bug":
moreover, a VERY LARGE dismantle ...
A strange fact: on both sides of canopy
(left and right), at the back of the engine hood, this sentence: "DEO
JUVENTE AND GRACE " . Deo Juvente is the motto of the Principality
of Monaco. So,I wrote to Her Majesty Prince Rainier, asking if this car might
have belong to the Rocher's garages. I received an elegant reply from his secretary
who says no, with encouragements in my task.
Also strange, this license plate...
Unknown in Belgium, UK, and other countries in Europe ...
Strange too, the AMOUNT confetti I removed from any places...
including INSIDE the gear box !
The 8 (eight!) paint layers -from 1925 up to now- before
to see the metal, (last ones was red "firebrigade" and yellow)
. Might could they be the colors of a circus ...?
Lastly, after about 800 hours
of labor...
(gears are going back to their box)
...the spare parts inventory
, after being sorted
and assembled, begun to look like a car.
For the anecdote, all the car (but the frame and the front/rear
axles) spent winter 1997 in my attic.
(think to the trap door size: about 25 square inches).
Endly, here are kraft-paper templates
design and cut-up, for body parts rebuilt. Then, steel sheets was shaped, coated,
and ready to be paint.
